Psychologist

She holds a PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Montreal and has 25 years of experience in assessing and treating autism spectrum disorders. She worked as a clinician at Rivières-des-Prairies Hospital for 10 years, assessing and treating patients with autism. She also has broader clinical experience in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and intellectual disabilities. Her main therapeutic approach is cognitive-behavioural, including acceptance and commitment therapy. She also takes a person-centred and family-centred approach.

Mr. Nader Félhi est diplômé de l’université de Montréal. Doté d’un baccalauréat en psychologie, d’un certificat en intervention en déficience intellectuelle et trouble du spectre de l’autisme, il a suivi plusieurs formations éducatives au privé et il a plus de 14 ans d’expériences en intervention auprès d’enfants avec des besoins particuliers dont 4 ans en enseignement en adaptation scolaire avec une clientèle ayant des différents diagnostics. Avec des programmes individualisés et une pratique issue de plusieurs approches, il travaille dans différents milieux et pratique dans plusieurs contextes. Ainsi, Il offre un service de stimulation de langage, de gestion et modification de comportement et de soutien scolaire de niveau primaire et début secondaire.

Mme Hélène Lamirande, M. Ps
Psychologist
Hélène Nowak Lamirande holds a Master's degree and has completed doctoral studies in clinical psychology at the University of Montreal. She has 35 years of experience in clinical psychology, specialising in the assessment of autism spectrum disorders and attention disorders. She has worked as a service manager and clinician with children, adolescents and adults in outpatient clinics in hospitals and private practices. She has extensive experience in interdisciplinary work and has often collaborated with families and clinicians from different backgrounds to provide the best possible services. She has supervised several doctoral students in psychology and has given numerous training courses on the screening and assessment of autism spectrum disorders. She has been a consultant on the organisation of services for children with autism spectrum disorders and has participated in research projects on the subject. She has solid training and extensive experience in the use and analysis of specialised diagnostic tools. More recently, she has developed expertise in anxiety and the female profile in autism. She is fluent in both French and English, both spoken and written.
Dre Marie-Hélène Prud’homme, Psy D.           
Psychologist
She holds a PhD in psychology from UQAM and has been working in the field of autism in Quebec, France and Switzerland for over 30 years. A lecturer and internship supervisor for UQAM in the DESS TSA program for over 18 years, she has also worked in schools, rehabilitation centres, diagnostic clinics and community organisations. She has solid expertise in the diagnostic assessment of autism spectrum disorder in children, adolescents and adults (she has extensive experience in the diagnostic assessment of female profiles in ASD), as well as in social skills and emotion management interventions. She uses CBT approaches such as ACT and mindfulness. She is certified in the PEERS (Peer Education for Early Recognition and Support) programme. She has translated several books on autism (Exploring Feelings: CBT for Anxiety and Anger Management by Tony Attwood, Let's Talk About Emotions by Theresa Cardin, and the TEACCH Transition Assessment Profile by Mesibov, Thomas, Chapman, and Schopler, a functional assessment tool for adolescents and adults). She acts as a supervisor and trainer for la société Formavision in France.
